the Parks brothers

Raised in a musical family, Bradley and Brandon Parks would

have no shortage of inspiration growing up.

Bradley, brought up on the music of Prince, Sam and Dave, and Waylon Jennings among others.. Knew at an early age he would eventually be involved in the "family business”. As a freshman in high school Bradley taught himself to play the Harmonica, imitating the licks of blues legends Sonny Terry and Junior Walter. Eventually his prowess on the Harmonica would afford him opportunities to play in live settings.. And that's when his love of performance was born. As a Harmonica player he was limited to simply sitting in with other bands.. So he knew he had to make a change. Working with his Grandfather and Uncle, both seasoned vocalists and multi instrumentalists, Bradley soon picked up the acoustic guitar and began singing and playing with the family band. For years Bradley honed his talents playing bars, clubs, and weddings, deciding in the summer of 2009 to break off on his own and move to the Florida panhandle where he would continue to cut his teeth playing 3-7 shows per week for the next 3 years.

Meanwhile Bradley's younger brother Brandon was coming into his own as a musician. Regarded as one of the most talented drummers his age, Brandon had been playing since he was 5 years old. By the time he was 18, he had already played hundreds of gigs with the family band. Brandon credits the bulk of his drumming knowledge to high school band, where he was a 4 time all-district member and 2 time first chair in the North Carolina All state band. He was also a nominee for the army all-American band. He draws his inspiration from fellow drummers Travis Barker, Buddy Rich, Ahmir "Questlove" Thompson, and Tony Royster Jr.

In 2011 Bradley would move back home to Charlotte Nc, continuing playing shows frequently until he and his brother Brandon would form the Parks Brothers in 2013. Highly regarded as one of the most energetic and talented duos in the area, the brothers have been playing 3-5 gigs per week ever since. Performing a wide variety of music, including covers from the 60’s to today and their own original material, the Parks Brothers offer a high energy show sure to entertain any crowd of any age group. They recently recorded their debut self titled album with voice star, Ryan Whyte Maloney in Las Vegas Nevada, which is slated for a fall 2016 release.
